Books worth reading.

Time and again.

Keiko Kasza

is an author illustrator I have just fallen in love with over the past year.  As with Chris Van Dusen, I am always amazed at the talent in one person when someone can think of an endearing idea for a book, write a story that's fun to read AND draw lively characters and scenes that complete the tale. Kasza does it all and she does it so well. I actually found

Ready for Anything

when I was searching my library database for books to help an anxious child.  It is perfect.  Rolling with the punches of life is a most useful lesson to learn and this book teaches it so well.  How lucky is Raccoon to have a friend like Duck to help him see the value of optimism and how lucky is the child that hears this story, to have an adult help them learn that we won't always know what's going to happen next, and that's okay.

She has many, but here's another gem from Kasza about a cunning pig and a fox that isn't as wily as he thinks he is!  You can get pretty far using your head, even in a sticky situation!
