This book has been a favorite in our household for a long time. My husband is a tool man and one of my sons has decided he is too. The soft illustrations in
walk you through a day in the life of a father and son fix-it team. They happily work their way through a to-do list on what I imagine to be a sunny Saturday in early fall or late spring, when the weather is mild and spirits are high. I love the cooperation and satisfaction of task completion this story demonstrates as much as I love the simple naming of tools and short explanations of their functions. This is a nice glimpse of a simple, satisfying life, where things are fixed instead of replaced and time spent together is treasured, no matter what's on the agenda.
