Ladybug Girl and Bumblebee Boy
This is a wonderful story about two young friends compromising so that they can play together and both have fun. When Lulu runs into her friend Sam at the playground they are both full of suggestions that do not interest the other. Without seeking adult intervention, Lulu takes a deep breath at the height of their mutual frustration and calmly suggests a game they both will love. Even though it wasn't Sam's idea, he doesn't hold back his enthusiasm for it and really gives it a chance. This story is full of good ideas for children that are learning to play independently, live in their imaginations and manage their own friendships. What a treasure to have this clearly articulated, visually stimulating example of two children, a boy and a girl, working their differences out and having
so much fun
working as a team. This story has realistic, lovable characters that young kids will undoubtedly identify with and parents will appreciate. If you have preschoolers, please bring this story into your home; you'll both be glad you did!
