Even Firefighters Go to the Potty
This is a great potty training book with the unique angle of presenting a whole cast of role models from different occupations. Children spend so much time imitating the adults in their life, and most potty training books show them other kids. That might help them
that they can do it too, and that's valuable, but I think knowing that all the adults they look up to use the potty too might help them
to do it, which is a different hurdle altogether. The illustrations are attractive and clear and the simple, rhyming text is repetitive and memorable, just what you need in a book for 2 and 3 year olds. The book features men and women and is completely modest, although it does show a man in a standing position at a urinal, which is not commonly seen in potty training books. I think it is a
potty training book for boys. It is like a thin board book in construction, the pages are glossy, not papery.
