Books worth reading.

Time and again.

The Land of Stories: The Wishing Spell

This series has been a fantastic read aloud selection for our family.

These books are action packed and have it all- fantasy, action, adventure, fairy tale, humor-

I have as much fun diving into these stories as my kids do listening to me read them!

The Land of Stories: The Enchantress Returns

I would definitely label these 'for older readers'

(the two main characters are in middle school at the start of The Wishing Spell)

as the language and content ever so slightly crosses the line for younger children.

This really only happens a time or two and is easily remedied if you are reading out loud

by skipping right over a few lines or paragraphs.

I have been able to easily do just that and still enjoy sharing these great adventures

with my kids even though I wouldn't hand these books over

for them to read independently yet.

The Land of Stories: A Grimm Warning

Each book is over 400 pages long so it does take some time to get through them.

They are perfect for bedtime if you are accustomed to reading a chapter,

or even part of a chapter, in a longer book out loud every evening.

My kids have loved following the story line on the maps included in the books,

a nice colorful touch that adds to the experience of reading this great series!
